Eastern Oklahoma

Since I wasn't planning on going through Oklahoma, I wasn't able to do any advance research of good butterfly spots.  So I found a Brushy Lake State Park, about 25 miles south of Stilwell.  Turned out to be largely a fishing hole with some camping spaces plunked next to it.  Still got out and did some butterfly hunting, since I didn't know of anyplace better to go.
Was not a lot of butterfly activity.  Very dry.  You could see that the lake level was down probably six feet or so.  A smidge of nectar along the shore.  But don't you know, of the eight species I saw, three were new to the BBY, and two were lifers for me!  New species for the year: Phaon Crescent, Southern Broken Dash, and Dainty Sulphur, and the first two I had never seen before, ever!  So, at least for me, quantity may not had been there, but quality was!
