Wickliffe Mounds State Historic Site, Kentucky

Yesterday was a rough day.  Luggage rack on the bike is having problems, no doubt brought on by the two ton cargo box I am hauling.  Lost a half hour early rerouting myself to avoid Tropical Storm Lee which was chugging toward Mississippi, as was I.  Decided to take a more northerly route through Missouri.  Then stopped at Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky to do some butterfly hunting only to realize the problem with the luggage rack.  Back tracked back to Cadiz, Kentucky, found a hardware store and using zipties and assorted hardware thought I had my problem solved.
To add insult to injury however, I go to put the sunglasses back on after the repair job in the hardware parking lot and the sunglasses break, right in the middle.  So I go over to the gas station for gas and get $14 sunglasses.  While looking at my map for the most direct route into Missouri, my helmet falls off the cargo box and the face shield pops off.  Now one side of the shield comes unlocked when you lift the shield up.
My motto I think for the rest of the trip is going to be, "Have Faith, Have Fun" because so far I have struggled with both.  Am sitting in Springfield, Missouri waiting for WalMart to open to see if their auto repair people can fix my luggage rack, since my quick fix at the hardware store is also falling apart.  May try to find a helmet store while I am here as well.
I did manage one legit butterfly stope along the way at Wickliffe Mounds in extreme western Kentucky.  I think God sent me an angel here, as I no more than had the helmet and motorcycle jacket off and a Hackberry Emperor landed on my arm!  In the park, very little nectar, but did manage a few butterflies.  One new species for the BBY, Cloudless Sulphur, although I could not get a picture of it.  I expect to see several in AZ, assuming the luggage rack gets fixed, so the pic of Cloudless will come.  Got very excited as I found caterpillars on passion vine, thinking I had Gulf Fritillary.  But now that I have researched, the caterpillars are of Variegated Fritillary, still a nice find, but not a new species to the BBY.
Please pray support for my Have Faith, Have Fun motto!
